Yes, Hart’s Test And Tag Melbourne are nationally accredited testers. We provide an on-site test and tag service in Melbourne and surrounding areas. We are fully insured and compliant with current AS/NZS 3760:2010 standards.

We also hold a current White Card. This is the Prepare to Work Safely in the Construction Industry CPCCWHS1001′ training course. Holding a valid White Card means that we have completed official, certified general construction induction training with a registered organisation within Australia.

We have the capability for you to bring your leads and/or equipment to us for smaller jobs if you are local to the Berwick 3806 area.

  • 1-100 tags $5.50 per tag
  • 101-200 tags $5.00 per tag
  • 201-500 tags $4.50 per tag
  • 501-1000 tags $4.00 per tag
  • 1001+ tags $3.50 per tag
  • RCD testing from $3.50 per point on fixed and portable RCD’s

Plug and/or socket replacement including fitting

  • 10 amp single phase plug or socket $20 each
  • 15 amp single phase plug or socket $20 each
  • Minimum Charge per visit is $82.50  ( up to 15 Tags )

No, not from the job we perform. We will however require one car parking spot onsite for the duration of our visit. Our parking costs will be added in our final invoice if a car parking space cannot be provide by our client.

This is dependent on site and appliance locations. Are all the items that need to be tested and tagged in one room location or spread across multiple buildings or floors? Between 15 – 20 items per hour can be properly tested, tagged and logged. This includes a visual inspection of each item, testing, tagging and recording of results.

We provide tap and go payments if you would like to pay onsite after job completion, attracts a 2% merchant fee. EFT or Credit Card invoices can be emailed. Please note that credit card invoice payments sent via email attracts a 2.9% merchant fee on top of our price.

The appliance or lead that fails the visual inspection or electrical test must be removed from service and tagged with an appropriate out of service or warning tag so that the item is not used until it is fixed or replaced. New or repared items must then be re-tested and tagged.

For the most common environments, we recommend the following frequencies:

  • 3 months: building, construction and demolition
  • 6 months: factories, warehouses and production
  • 12 months: an environment where the equipment/supply cord is prone to flexing or open to abuse
  • 24 months: an environment where the equipment/supply cord is not prone to flexing or open to abuse

We operate 7 days a week and after business hours when required. All our bookings are made with you at a mutual agreeable time to fit in with both of our schedules.

  1. We perform a visual inspection of the lead or appliance. ( the lead or appliance can fail at this early stage of the test )
  2. We electrically test the lead or appliance.
  3. We record the results of the electrical test.
  4. We tag the lead or appliance with the details of the re-test date.
